Every music fan should be able to visit our festival and we make every effort so that guests with a disability can also enjoy a relaxed and memorable festival visit.

We give a lot of thought to how we can expand and improve the accessibility process at our festival.
We are always very happy to receive ideas and suggestions at ticket@summerjam.de

We operate on the principle of "2 for 1": you as a person with a "B" in your ID (which is used in Germany to proof your necessity of being accompanied/ B=Begleitung) will be issued a personalized free ticket and pay the festival ticket for your companion.
For visitors from the UK we accept the Access Card with +1.
Prior registration is necessary for this. The ticket for your companion needs to be purchased separately in our Ticketshop.
Please send an e-mail with a picture of your ID (or comparable other official document/proof) to ticket@summerjam.de. We will then check your details and send you your ticket if applicable. Please note that we will start issuing free tickets in May/June 2026 at the earliest.

Deadline for registration is June 1st 2026

1. On the Festival Island, as well as in the different camp areas are barrier-free toilets. The toilets are locked, you can obtain the keys from the toilet attendants or the nearest security guard. HERE is an overview.
2. In front of the Red and Green Stage we will build a wheelchair accessible platform. Wheelchair users can stay there (depending on capacity with max. one accompanying person) and enjoy the concerts.
3. In the Sanitary Camp there is a shower equipped with a ramp.
4. Our Summerjam busshuttles have barrier-free ramps.
5. If you come with an electric wheelchair and you are looking for a way to charge it, you will be able to use the sockets available at the Infopoint (Vibez Village P2).
Electric charging is at your own risk and we do not assume any liability for this.
6. You can bring your medication to the festival without any problems: A doctor's certificate of necessity will ensure that you can bring them to the festival grounds. Medication that needs to be kept refrigerated can be handed in to the medical staff on the Festival Island in the medical station or at the Infopoint for the camping area. There the medicines will be kept for you.
The organizer/employees do not assume any liability for the storage of the medication.

We offer the discounted Youngster Ticket for ages 10-15 (including camping).
Holders of the Youngster Ticket must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

We will set up a play area for our youngest reggae fans.
Please also remember to bring suitable ear protection!

Teenagers over 16 years and under 18 years of age are not required to leave the festival at midnight IF they are in the company of their legal guardian!
Under 16 years of age is also not a problem IF they are in the company of their legal guardian at any time!
Definition of a legal guardian:
Every person, who is responsible for the custody of child as a single person or together with another person according to the directions of the German Civil Code (father, mother, legal custodian), any other person older than 18 years, as soon as he or she undertakes the task of custody and has acquired the consent of the legal guardian.
If a minor is being accompanied by a guardian then the guardian must be able to present the consent of the legal custodian in written form.
This means for example if you have a chaperon with you (sister, brother, boyfriend/girlfriend…), and this person is older than 18 years old, and he or she is your legal guardian with written consent from the legal custodian and is looking after you, then you can stay at the event up to the time specified in the consent.

Here you will find such a consent form as a .PDF file, which you only have to fill out with your own data. It has to be filled out completely, and is only valid with your passport/ID card, the one of your chaperon and your parents' or custodian's ID as a copy – please make sure to bring a copy to leave at our wristband exchange!
It’s important that your parents/custodians give you a written consent with the transfer of the custodianship to another person for the entire duration of the festival, which you can then present in case it is necessary.

Animals are not permitted at the Summerjam Festival — neither on the Festival Island nor on the camp areas.

Open fires and barbecues are strictly prohibited throughout the entire site.
Gas cookers, hotplates and barbecues with gas cartridges (up to a maximum of 450 g) are permitted in the camp area.
If, due to short-term, unforeseeable climate changes and heat hazards in the event of severe drought, the state of NRW or the city of Cologne issues a general ban, we must comply with this order to protect the area.
In such a case, the use of gas cartridges must be refrained from.

The consumption of cannabis is generally permitted at the Summerjam Festival with the partial legalisation that has been passed. However, with the new Cannabis Act (CanG for short), there are differences in the implementation of partial legalisation depending on the federal state or even municipality. Below we would like to inform you about some of the rules at the Summerjam Festival and ask you to comply with them.

1. Possession of up to 25 g for personal consumption is permitted
2. Trade is and remains prohibited and will be reported immediately
3. We will continue to carry out controls at the entrances, the list of prohibited items can be found above
4. The police will continue to be present on the entire site to prevent and prosecute tent break-ins, theft and cannabis dealers
5. The consumption of cannabis in the immediate vicinity of children and young people is not permitted. In particular, the consumption of cannabis, alcohol or tobacco in our Kids Area is absolutely taboo;
6. We ask you to be considerate of each other and to keep your distance if someone feels disturbed by the odour;
7. "Don't drink and drive!" and "Don't smoke weed and drive!" apply on arrival and departure. Make sure you and your friends are fit to drive. There will be more checks.

As every year, countless helpers, stewards, police officers, and the DLRG (German Life Saving Association) will be supporting the festival organization and will be there to help you if you have any problems. A Johanniter-Unfallhilfe first aid station will be set up on the island and in the camping area (overview map).

Call 112 – If you don't have a cell phone, ask someone else to make the emergency call or go to the nearest steward or camp service station.

Medical emergency

Be prepared to answer the following questions:
Where is the person?
What happened?
How many people are injured?
What are their injuries?
Who is reporting the incident? (Name is sufficient)

Wait for further questions!
After that, there is a lot you can do yourself – even without a first aid certificate!
Consider your own safety: Ensure your own safety before helping others. If there is no danger to you, begin administering first aid.
Calm and care for the injured person. Injured people are usually afraid and need to know that help is on the way.
Ask others to direct the emergency services to the location—an ambulance or medical team is on its way to you on foot.
Create a screen so that the injured person does not feel observed by strangers. This is important for many injured people.

Fire

Where is the fire?
What is burning?
How many people are injured?
What are their injuries?
Who is reporting? (Name is sufficient)

Wait for further questions!
Caution: Do not neglect your own safety! A fire, especially the smoke it produces, should not be underestimated. Only when you are certain that there is no danger to yourself should you intervene and administer first aid.
Please note: 80% of all fire victims do not burn to death; they suffocate from the toxic smoke produced by the fire. Therefore, never underestimate the smoke and always ensure your own safety!

Beverages (water and juice, no alcohol) are only permitted on the Festival Island in transparent, soft containers (up to 1 liter) per person (e.g., drink pouches, soft plastic bottles). Feel free to use the water taps to fill up your container. Glass bottles, cans, and hard plastic bottles will be rejected.

There is a strict ban on glass. Beverages may only be brought into the camp area in cans, Tetra Paks, or PET/plastic bottles.

Lockers are available at various locations around the lake, some of which even have power connection.
It is possible to reserve a locker for the entire festival period in advance.
Depending on availability, it is also possible to book a locker on a daily basis directly on site.

Still photography for personal, non-commercial use is permitted. Audio and video recordings are not permitted, and any violation will be prosecuted. Please leave your professional digital or analogous single lens reflex camera at home. They are also not permitted on the festival grounds. On the camping grounds there are no restrictions regarding photography, audio and video recordings – as long as the personal rights of others are not violated!
At the festival there will be taken photos and video recordings by accredited media outlets, journalists and the promoter. These recordings will be duplicated and used for media coverage and documentaries – distributed via print, DVD, TV and online.
By entering the festival grounds, you declare your agreement to possibly be recorded and that these recordings might be used as stated above. There will be no compensation.
The use of tripods and selfie-sticks is also not allowed on the festival grounds.

Weapons and violence of any kind, gas cartridges with a filling weight of more than 450g, gasoline, pyrotechnic items, laser technology, dry ice, emergency power generators, music systems/sound systems/professional battery-powered speakers, fixed furniture such as armchairs or beer tables, party tents, and shopping carts.
The campground at Fühlinger See is limited and reserved for festival visitors with camping tickets only.
Please do not build huge pavilion castles, as we cannot allow them. In case of doubt, we will have to ask you to dismantle pavilions or your own chill-out areas so that we can guarantee space for all guests in the camp area.

Weapons and violence of any kind, dangerous objects, gas cartridges, gasoline, pyrotechnic objects, laser technology, dry ice, emergency power generators, music systems/sound systems/professional battery-powered speakers, stools, folding chairs, blankets, camping chairs, loungers, tents, umbrellas, any furniture such as armchairs and beer tables, party tents and shopping carts, beverages and food (except for soft plastic bottles that can be filled at the water taps up to 1 liter), spray cans, markers.

As announced, there will also be increased security precautions this year.
Together with the Cologne police and our security service, we will have a stronger presence in the camping area.
Especially in the evening hours, patrols will be carried out.
Despite these measures, there are some basic rules to be observed:

1. Get to know your tent neighbours and don't leave any valuables unattended.
2. Take any valuables that you do not want to carry with you to our lockers.
3. iI you notice anything unusual or have any questions for the police or our security service - just ask them.
They will be there to protect you.
4. Better to ask once too often.......

Camping is at your own risk. In case of storm or thunderstorm you are safest in your car or caravan. If you are there without a car, join forces with neighbors. Please also read the safety instructions on summerjam.de. We will keep you informed about the weather via social media and the Summerjam App.

If bad weather conditions are clearly visible at the festival site, the program may be interrupted. In this case, we will keep you informed about the current situation via the festival app and socila media channels. If necessary, through stage announcements and notices on the LED boards. Please follow the instructions of the security staff, make your way to the designated evacuation areas and emergency exits as early as possible and by the shortest route, and observe the following behavior guidelines:

- The safest place at a festival in the countryside during a storm is your car. Please offer other festival guests a place in your car if possible.
- In open terrain, find the lowest point and crouch down with your feet together; trees do not offer protection!
- Do not stand close together in groups and do NOT hold hands!
- Stay away from structures, metal fences, light and flag poles... – keep a minimum distance of 3 m.
- Do not stand in water during a thunderstorm!
- Close your tents and secure loose objects every time before you move around the festival grounds.
